Dalai Lama Fellows cultivates and supports a global movement of next-generation leaders applying universal values to solve global challenges.
Their Fellowship offers emerging leaders a rigorous, interdisciplinary program on ways to be a different kind of leader, a leader that connects and cares for self, extends genuine compassion to others, and works for our common humanity. Fellows cultivate practices in mind training for increasing self-awareness, self-care, and resilience, for connecting with others and working across differences, and in building solutions for generations to come.
Over the course of a year, with the support of mentors and coaches, each Fellow designs and implements an original Field Project addressing a global challenge. Upon graduation, Fellows join a Life Long Community, where they connect with and support each other while continuing to advance their leadership journeys.
They provide each Project Fellow with:
Immersion in their distinctive year-long Head, Heart, Hands leadership curriculum;
One-on-one coaching to support their projects in social change and personal development as contemplative and collaborative leaders;
Participation in two week-long Global Assemblies with Fellows from around the world and dynamic faculty; and
Life Long affiliation in our global learning community and support system.
Dalai Lama Fellows, founded in 2010 with the inspiration and encouragement of the 14th Dalai Lama, is reimagining leadership by cultivating and supporting a global movement of next-generation leaders applying universal values and local understanding to solve global challenges at the communal level. The program is secular and ecumenical.
Benefits
A year-long award will be provided to such next generation leaders that are working on social change projects in local communities to address one or more of the following areas: mitigating economic disparity, diminishing violence, gender inequity, improving cross-cultural and interreligious cooperation, facilitating new and more holistic educational approaches, and enhancing environmental sustainability.
Eligibilities
This program is focused on next-generation leaders (individuals between 20-35 years of age) who are are proposing to work on social change projects in their local communities.
